Trick or Treat Exchange 2020

Dear Creator, Thank you for your patience. This letter took me three days and an ill-advised late night writing session, but it's finally done.

First of all, I just really love this exchange and what such a small, treat-like minimum can do. Halloween is very much my favorite holiday, and though I chose Treat for the majority of these fandoms, please feel free to get into the season and fill whatever you create with a lot of Halloween spirit. (Update! Quick thought on this subject: Jack'o Lantern and Pumpkin Bulbasaurs!) Feel free to add tension, and suspense, a little bit of fear, and meetings with ghosts if that's your inclination.

I'm really excited for your creation. I hope you have fun making it.

Now, without further ado -

BIRDS OF PREY

Dinah Lance, Helena Bertinelli, Harleen Quinzel, Renee Montoya, Cassandra Cain

Generally looking for whatever more you have for me, dear writer. I have some parameters, such as: I ship Dinah/Helena, Dinah/Harley(/Helena) Dinah/Harley/Helena/Renee in any order but also as polyamory if you feel up to writing that. I asked for a Treat because I'd love to see the humor and the banter stay in tact, and because I don't really want anything DARK here.

I suggested some prompts, such as:

• Undercover as a Couple.
• Dinah getting her car back from Harley
• Case!Fic - the goofier the villain of the week the better
• Each character teaching Cassandra Cain something - irresponsibly - like how to flip a butterfly knife (Helena), or light a contained fire - that sort of that thing.
• Halloween Shenanigans!

I have some general Like and DNWs that you can find here but I'd like to add specifically, for this to not get overly into connecting this fic to the broader DC EU - I wasn't a huge fan of Suicide Squad or JL and, while I won't be upset or anything if you do, aside from Diana it won't do much for me? Not as Canon stands.

At the end of the day I'm looking for femslash or found family/team dynamics content! The brighter, and glitter covered the better!

DRAGON AGE (II)
Female Hawke, Male Hawke, Fenris, Varric Tethras

I just really love Hawke and their boys. There's something so appealing about the contrast of the brash, from the start, friendship between Varric and Hawke, and the hard-won relationship you can achieve with Fenris. They'll both fight with Hawke against the templars even though they think it's not their fight - because Hawke asked. They all fit together like bad ideas sometimes do.

SO! Like I said, I ship Hawke with Fenris and Varric. But I'd love to see exploration of either as romantic or platonic. If you're feeling daring though - may I suggest OT3?

Suggest prompts:

• Leaning into Enemies to Friends to Lovers, Friends to Lovers, Friends With Benefits Tropes
• Fenris showing up at Skyhold looking for Hawke (instead of Varric having to write a letter to him),
• what a post-Inquisition life looks like for Varric day to day and how Hawke(&/Fenris) fits into it. Especially if you use the Trespasser DLC Canon that Varric is back in Kirkwall.
• What would happen if the three of them having to attend a ball like in Wicked Eyes Wicked Hearts? What if it was a Halloween themed ball?

DNW: angst without a happy ending, fic where Hawke dies (in the Veil or otherwise).

LOZ: BREATH of the WILD

Link, Revali, Teba

I really love Breath of the Wild - it was my first experience of a Legend of Zelda game. Link waking up and having to run around the map trying to remember, and in headcanon still not quite remembering everything and not being the same person who went to sleep 100 years before is so compelling. Like woke up married!amensia fics, there's something about Link remember a little, and the people around him getting to know this new version of him.

I also really loved the Rito village, the Ritos that you get to interact with like Teba and his family. So, any Treat that centers around Link in the Rito village would be lovely. Especially art of Link and Teba and his son. Or Link cooking for the other Rito children.

If you are working on something with Revali - whomst I love most ardently - I ship Link/Revali and would love it.

Other thoughts and prompts:

• The nature of the Link/Revali ship is canonical tragedy, but melancholy is okay here. Stolen moments, pining. Longing looks when Link uses Revali's Gale and gets to see him for a moment as Link is swept into the air, his heart and gut swooping.
• I also accept fix-it's for them too! Revali coming back somehow.
• Link cooking. Quiet nights by the fireside. Fixing a bow, or eating a familiar dish. Stealing a nap.
• Link and Teba bonding.
• Works with an emphasis on Link using sign language.

DNW: angst without a happy ending, dark fic, Alternate Universes that take us out of BOTW, graphic sex scenes.

FINAL FANTASY XV

Gladiolus Amicitia, Noctis Lucis Caelum

I brought over some prompts from the Just Married Exchange sign-up I made for this ship, if they seem fairly specific. But I feel like they really hit on, quickly, what I love about the Gladio/Noctis ship:

Optional Tags: Friends to Lovers, Happy Ending, Pining, Resurrection

Gladio/Noctis are the epitome of playful shoving, friendship pining when things are good. And fierce protection of each other when things are bad. They'd make really good partners and I just want to see and read more about them.

POCKET MONSTERS | POKEMON

Leon, Raihan, Piers

Are you losing steam? I'm losing steam. If you, dear creator, have not read this whole dumb letter and understandably jumped to this or the previous fandom and are wondering why they're smaller, that's why. I'm sorry.

Short answer: I just really love Pokemon, and Pokemon Sword and Shield [Dogs].

Slightly longer answer that is hopefully helpful - This I think was the only fandom where I opened it up to Trick as well as Treat. In that regard, I was thinking more along the lines of holiday plans, haunted houses where they're pranked by a ghost Pokemon. The terrifying feeling of encountering a Legendary Pokemon while Raihan and Piers are searching for Leon who is missing. More leaning into Halloween themes without it going into grim!dark fic, or death, gore/blood which are DNWs.

I'd love to see these three all being friends and getting together at the end of Sword/Shield. What's something they do - do they get Boba? Who runs a Boba café? Maybe they go to the battle café and interact with the sweets Pokemon there.

• Slice of life fic
• They're all friends after the end of sword/shield - what does that look like?
• Raising Pokemon
• Leon and Raihan going to see Piers perform
• New Year's drinking, with Optional: Drunken Confession that lead to Drunken Kissing.
• Getting Together

Please include your favorite Pokemon. Please have Raihan and/or Piers taking care of a baby or puppy Pokemon. Maybe now that Piers doesn't have to be Gym Leader he has time to visit the MC or go with Raihan and Leon to the Armor Isles OR the MC just brings back a Zorua for Piers. WHAT I'M TRYING TO SAY: give Piers a Bébé Zorua.

Hiwatari Satoshi, Dark Mousy, Niwa Daisuke

Screams and in those screams is childhood adoration and Embarrassment.

Listen, I just really love Hiwatari Satoshi. The differences between how the curse affects him versus Daisuke - for ex. that Hiwatari's die young?? And the story doesn't linger on that? Why? Or his proficiency with art: does he still practice? Tell me about what he paints. He must - so what does he do with his art if he's afraid of it being magical, or stolen by his stepfather, or?? Then there's the Fairytales TM included in canon of an artist creating beautiful works and letting the thief steal them always felt like a romantic and almost courtship thing to me. And over the years it becoming a rivalry or whatever it is that's Satoshi trying to catch Dark in seductive ways?? I ship Satoshi/Daisuke and Satoshi/Dark btw - but that doesn't mean that it's the only way you can take the prompts (though some of them are romantic in nature).

I love that canon is about art creation and art theft/reclamation, and would love to read about that. I also really love anything about Daisuke's pursuit of friendship with Satoshi and his concern for Satoshi.

For Trick-gifters: Krad is really wild in canon and anything about his past with Dark or just wtf he's thinking? Also: introspection of Satoshi and Daisuke dealing with having alter-egos/ancient sentient art works within them would be cool. But please no character death or non-con.

Other Trick/Treat ideas include:
